I think in the beginning, especially because we didn’t understand or know how important tying everything together was, we were just extremely unorganized and trying to piece everything together ourselves.  So we have 4 or 5 different systems that are doing 4 or 5 different things that are not communicating with each other, they’re not talking to each other, they’re not synced the way they should be, and granted we try to do the best with what we have, but it’s using way more manpower – it’s using way more time hours energy effort and it’s very unorganized.  It was very scattered and we didn’t we didn’t realize how unorganized we were or how all over the board we really were until we finally got hooked up with Chris and his program that has really transformed how we operate and how we do things.

You know I think that moving forward with TourPro, it not only is just for the day of the and the competition and how wonderful it streamlines everything but it’s a full software system that integrates everything  from the financial end to the competition to the critique videos and even into our photo booth and photo systems and everything else.  The integration of everything talking to each other and everything being set up in a manner that kind of blows our mind and we never realized how simple it really could be or how easy it really could be.  Obviously, I think any time that you upgrade systems or you make an investment in software in technology it seems like maybe an upfront cost or maybe a hit but we don’t even view it like that especially after going through our kind of our first time

By making those investments into TourPro, and especially Chris and how hands on he has been with us, it would have taken multiple employees and a lot of headache and stress to have figured out all that Chris and his team have put together and everything that they have done.  I’m just kind of upset that we didn’t do it sooner.  But we’re very thankful, we’re very pleased that we have the software now and TourPro really will change the course of where BellaMoxi goes.  Now that we start to understand all of its features and capabilities it gives us new ideas, it gives us new business models, new ways to earn revenue new ways to capture great content for our customer base and for our dancers.  And I think that is the icing on top or the really sweet part about the software is that its helping us to deliver a better experience and deliver a more compact experience for our dancers and our customers.

I think the last thing about just anytime you meet certain people you gel. And I think that is with Chris and TourPro and just their whole team.  It was a very easy transition for us given the fact that we changed software systems less than 2 weeks out from a competition.  You know they just went above and beyond they went just to show us you know “hey we’re going to fly out to Chicago we’re going to help you guys we’re going to make sure this goes over well” and I think especially in today’s world technology gets thrown at you and you have to just figure it out. And that’s never even been an option for them.  Chris has just been extremely hands on helping and from a staff perspective the humbleness that they bring and even though they are extremely smart dealing with us that are not in the technology world it just helped lift up the staff  and helped everybody feel very comfortable they didn’t feel that they were the elephant in the room that didn’t know what they were doing and that’s just a huge lift or a huge feature about Chris and them and how they handle and how they go about their way of doing business with us. We have just been extremely impressed, and again they kind of won us over. So from where we were, a disaster – clutter and craziness to now where we are and how excited we are and how much we’re looking forward to working with them and their team and all the new features and all the new streams that we can bring to our customer experience. It just has us extremely excited and we’re very blessed and thankful to have Chris and TourPro on the BellaMoxi competition circuit.

We have used a couple of different registration software systems just to kinda, you know, when you are a new company you’re trying to get your feet on the ground and get things going and we aren’t in the production side of the dance world so we were just going with what was on the internet so we reached out to a few people and had some not so great experiences with registration.  They just didn’t offer the types of things we needed. One of them, it just wasn’t a good user experience – not only for our customers but for us as well because the admin side was really difficult.  In season 2 we were looking to switch over to a new software that would fit all of our needs because we were looking for something that would cover everything from… basically something that made our lives really easy and we didn’t have to spend a lot of times on the weekend in the work room because we really wanted to spend that time interacting with customers and then make sure the competition goes smooth and have our reports done quickly and then on the flip side of that we wanted to make sure that our customers could easily register and that everything is really accessible.  So thankfully I received Chris’s contact at TourPro and got to reach out to him and we had a great first conversation and he told me everything about TourPro and pretty much had me won over from that conversation just based on the quick tutorial that he showed me and everything that the software offers.  It was instantly like stress relief because I knew, OH MAN this is going to be awesome and help our events so much and just help our team as a whole especially as we’re growing, it’s really great to have something that’s on the scalable side so as we’re smaller now and keep growing, I know the software is still going to be just as functional and just as easy as we continue to grow, for us and our Studios and independents that register too. But with that said, we were like “Hey Chris, we gotta two week turnaround on to our next event is there anyway you can make this happen?”.  Their whole team was super awesome.  We had a phone call pretty much like every other day or a text message.  “Hey like how do I do this?” because we got a really quick training on it just to cover the basics to get us through the weekend, they even transferred all of our registrants from our old system to our new one.  Chris came out on the first weekend for us, which was honestly, a life saver, because he showed us how to set everything up and it was great just to know he was there for if something did happen, like “ok we don’t have to panic because he knows what to do, and that, you know we did have one instance where I went into panic mode but Chris was like “why are you freaking out, I got this” so everything worked out amazing.  Our life has been SO much easier already the event went so great.  I’m really looking forward to kinda getting a few more weeks in before our next event to get to know the software a little more and then in Torrance, hopefully not even have to bother Chris with questions because you know that’s how easy the software is!

The first software that we were using was Dance Comp Genie and unfortunately that software did not work out for us because there were a lot of errors as far as someone not even being available from a customer support end so that is one big reason why we were looking to switch and not only that but some of the functionality not working from video critiques and reports not being easy to change on our admin side, there’s just a lot of things like that that have been easily accessible to us that weren’t and so whenever we wanted to switch over and we found out about TourPro, it literally offered everything we needed.  You have access to change everything that you need to change, from your prices for your event. I mean, last night, during our competition the first time we used the software a routine name was incorrect and you can literally, while the routine is going and recording it’s critique just hit edit and change the name and update the information.  I mean it’s all right there, it’s SO easy and just little things like that and having access to update everything in real time because you just sync all of your computers so not only was I able to see those changes, the judges could see those changes and then later when we all look on the servers, it’s all there.  It’s a really great software for our first event  it was amazing and I’m excited to see, because you know it has so much more to offer that we didn’t even get to go over.  It has this whole faculty Event Manager aspect that we would love and didn’t even get to touch that just because our quick turn around. We actually offer a Choreographic Festival which is a little bit different than other conventions, and Chris and TourPro were really great about accommodating how we needed that setup because it’s not the same prices or structure as a competition. They were super great pretty much like on the fly being like “Oh hey well we can do this, and offer this and tweak this.” It makes it easy for our festival participants to register because in our other software, Dance Comp Genie, we didn’t even have a way to separate them. We would have to manually enter them, manually override the prices export the schedules and pretty much delete them and make a whole new one so in the system when we judge it didn’t even, it wasn’t the right schedule since we had to separate them from the competition schedule.  So just little things like that and being able to accommodate what our needs are as a convention really goes a long way and their continual just customer support for if like, there’s an issue wrong they’re going to fix it and they will fix it very quickly too.
